Why Does TUniMemo Show Scroll Bars When The ScrollBars Property Is ssNone?

I have a TUniMemo control where I insert several lines of text. Even when the ScrollBars property is set to ssNone, the control insists on showing vertical scroll bars when the text lines are close to the bottom edge of the control.

Why does the control not respect the setting and how do I disable the showing of the scroll bars?

Try this for now:

procedure TMainForm.UniFormCreate(Sender: TObject);
begin
  UniMemo1.JSInterface.JSAddListener('afterrender', 'function(){this.inputEl.setStyle("overflow", "hidden")}');
end;
