willemh
Hi all. After some testing with Unigui I'am finally getting my feet wet. I’am busy with my first project in Unigui, but I am running into a problem. How helpful the forums (thanks all!) are, I have a very important question still unanswered. Perhaps any of you have some insight into how I can give the SEO crawlers something to index? I’ve readup on the sencha forums about history and routes, is that something we can do in Unigui or are there other possibilities/ways to make an app visible for the likes of Google? Thx. Sherzod
Hi, ...Google's indexing crawlers have traditionally ignored content that is served by javascript. Google considers a single web page as a unique block of content with semantically valid html that corresponds to a unique URL. This makes the page worthy of indexing and, subsequently, ranking. The classic issue with SPAs is that the content on the page changes without the web url changing accordingly... https://adkgroup.com/insights/single-page-applications-spa-and-seo-problem https://medium.com/@l.mugnaini/spa-and-seo-is-googlebot-able-to-render-a-single-page-application-1f74e706ab11 ... willemh
Hi, thanks for the links, they were helpful. I surmised that that using pushstates is the way to go, if we want the seo crawlers picking up on the content. Any idea how to incorporate using pushstates in an Unigui app? TIA. willemh
I'am still fiddling with this... If I do this: UniSession.AddJS('history.pushState(null, "Frame1", "?frame=frmOne") will it be "good enough" so that the crawlers will index frmOne?
