  1. Hello.

    Do you plane add support C++ Builder XE?

    Thank you.

    It is planned, but can't say anything for exact time or release no. Probably in a post 1.0 release.

  2. How do you know the client is a mobile phone or computer?

    Currently Ext JS doesn't report that.

    I'm not sure but you can check the browser type or screen resolution for that.

  3. Qooxdoo looks interesting. I'll keep an eye on it.

    The problem with such frameworks is that when they get enough attention they switch to commercial licenses. Same thing happened with Ext JS.

    Yes.. Pricing is ok for commercial projects.

    But some smaller developers might like a cheaper option ?

    From a brief read.. It would appear that 'QooxDoo' or 'Dojo' seemed to be similar in features (according to the Wikipedia matrix -> http://en.wikipedia....ript_frameworks )

    It would also allow you to bundle without requiring a hookup with extjs..! Just a thought...

    I suffer many of DBExpress related buggies. I found workarrounds for many of

    them.

    Hmm. I will ask for details when 0.85.0 is published.

    I don't send example programas to Farshad to solve to because I'm

    expecting the new core to be ready that can obviusly have many new bugs but

    corrections to actual problems implied.

    Yes, I can guarantee that the new core will introduce new bugs. :unsure:

    Hi Farshad,

    Have you thought about doing a UniGui for jQuery ?

    This would eliminate the need for extJS licenses.

    Regards

    CastleSoft

    I don't believe that the jQuery provides the extensive OOP structure we have in Ext JS.

    Mr. Farshad:

    Because our network configuration, I can't upgrade my Delphi XE to the last

    update.

    Can you release a versión for people that have the first released version of

    Delphi XE?

    The actual release of UniGui doest not compile the packages that contains

    UniGui extra controls. Because Teechart units I think.

    Best Regards

    You should be able to download the update from Embarcadero EDN site.

    To resolve this I will create a separate package for Chart or I may publish source for Chart component so you can compile it yourself.

  7. Hi Farshad,

    Projects created in the current version will be used in version 0.85,

    or will be necessary to rewrite?

    You must do some small modifications to your existing projects before you can run them with 0.85.

    The biggest difference will be in published properties in uniGUI components. In 0.85 only implemented events and properties are published. If your Forms contain extra properties that are not published in new version, you'll get errors while opening the Form in IDE. All you must do is opening all Forms in IDE and save them back.

    There are also some change in unit names and some units are no longer available.

    Keep up the excellent work being developed

    and rely on the community uniGUI.

    Thx

  8. Gratz on the new forum Farshad.. Looks great :)

    Thanks. I really wanted to continue old newsgroups, but at least we have syntax highlighting here:

    for I := 0 to rLines.Count - 1 do
    begin
     S:=Trim(rLines[i]);
     sWord:=GetAttrib(S);
    end;

    I think it needs some tweaks for Pascal language.

  9. Welcome to uniGUI web forums!

    As we already discussed in another topic , technical difficulties prevented us from continuing our NNTP newsgroups . Unfortunately the NNTP technology is no longer maintained, and companies providing NNTP server software are no longer selling Windows based NNTP server software. I don't know about the Unix/Linux, but for Windows the situation is getting worth each day. As an example, Microsoft stopped deploying IIS NNTP services in Windows 2008. Since our new server is running on Windows 2008, we had to migrate our newsgroups to another media. After a long search I selected Invision Power Board as our forum software which seems to be fast and reliable with lots of management options.

    While I'm a big fan of NNTP newsgroups, there are some pros to web forums which can't be found in text based newsgroup. Syntax highlighting, text formatting, editing posts, archiving , advanced moderation, advanced search facility are among them. Porting NNTP posts to web was a big pain as there was no ready software to achieve this. I had to write the import tool myself which read each individual NNTP post, extract the message part, insert them into board MySQL database and rebuild the message structure.

    Attachments are not imported. All imported NNTP posts are bound to an internal Guest account. There was no way to build a user database from newsgroup posts. You can find your old messages using forum search facility.
