Summary on Widget Column

I tried to add a summary to a column that contains button Widgets. All the "Summary" events fire, but the result isn't rendered.

I am simply using this column to count the rows, so I just fixed the problem by moving this to a different column.

Is this a bug, or is there a trick to display the summary value on a column of widgets?
