yo uso SQL Server se puede configurar la base de datos de Mail del mismo y con el store procedure de envió de email lo puedes usar, como una función normal en delphi con UnGui ventaja.
Que al usar el mismo manejador de base de datos la respuesta del envió no se queda congelada hasta que salga el correo.
O puedes usar Indy independientemente las dos opciones muy buenas.

Verificas que las conexiones no se mantengan abiertas, despues de utilizarlas a mi me estaba pasando lo mismo y era. Porque hay tenía consulta un poco pesadas y cuando terminaba de usarlas las dejaba abiertas y eso me.consumia mucha memoria, también te recomiendo que revises las sesiones , hubo un caso en donde mi aplicación debería de no tener usuarios activos y en ese momento tenía unas request de otro sitio como que estaban provocando saturación de las conexiones.

I have that component the problem with that component is that it only handles image, does not handle html try to modify it but it presented me a lot of errors.
I can put the button with html in the unidbgrid the problem is as I detect when they click on a specific one.

Utiliza la propiedad del objeto llamada OnChange, cada vez que realizes un cambio escrito o seleccionable en la cualquier objeto ese se activa.
tambien lo puedes hacer con la propiedad OnChangeValue y OnCloseup cualquiera de estos te pueden servir.
