eric Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Hi Frashad, Linux support for Delphi in Fall: Does it mean that Unigui will work on Linux without any changes on your side ? or will you have some adaptation for Unigui, and therefore some other delays?. Because there are talking about the scope below. Does Unigui enters in this scope ? thanks for your reply. eric Apache modules in WebBroker and support for DataSnap and EMSFireDAC Linux database accessLinux platform support for console apps with IoT supportWe will formally support Ubuntu Server & RedHat Enterprise. We will extend the formally supported Linux distributions list over time as demand dictatesWindows based IDE with cross-compiler, deploy and debug via PAServerLinux compilers will be for Intel 64-bit server, LLVM-based and ARC-enabled 1 Quote

On your side you may need to change things: 1) Native Delphi Components which are not compatible with Linux. (Such as ADO) 2) Parts of code in your application which directly use Windows API. 3) Third party components which are not compatible or are not ported to Linux by their vendors. (Such as reporting tools) Other than above your app should be able to run on Linux with no or minor modifications. Thanks 1 Quote
rencarnacion Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I Thing that Embarcadero may send information for all third party about de version for linux and they must be working on it Quote

Abaksoft Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 A good News : Linux = Yes Here is what ATANAS popov @ EMB Saïd : "I am even happier with the team’s decision to support the Linux development and push forward as aggressively as possible without compromising on quality. This is based on many, many customer and partner discussions. ZigZig Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Thanks Abaksoft. I do not think it's good news.Basically :- Embarcadero will work with subcontractors rather than employees (which are currently dismissed)- Embarcadero will develop fewer tools than before, but integrate third-party tools- Embarcadero will invest its money in advertising rather than in R&D Quote
