How stable are uniGUI applications?

Would love to partake in the poll, but it would not be a real life response from me, as I do not have any live UNIGUI apps running.

Farshad, the UniGui Alone is very stable.

Standalone - Very stable!
Service - Very stable!

IIS - Not so much.
He can not manage the errors that occur when applying 100%, for example, if she has an error in ClientDataSet in IIS sometimes he displays error 500.
If your application has no errors, the UniGui never stops!

To make it perfect, even with bugs in our code, the Server UniGui can not stop. This applies to IIS.

 

 

New opinion [14/03/2016]

After several months of stress tool, we found that most of the problems that caused the 500 error was FastReport.

I no longer had this problem, but we have identified enough problems in generating reports with FastReport.

There were many codes in my exclusive application of Vcl that Farshad identified and were removing gradually.

I believe that small details made the error occurs 500.

* Removed all references to TfrxRichView (FastReport) does not work in DLL.
* Removed Application.ProcessMessages (Exclusive VCL)
* Were changed all objects that were being created as Create.(Application) (Exclusive VCL).
*Were changed the entire structure of the FastReport report generation, now all the reports are created and destroyed at runtime. Farshad identified several problems with FastReport.
* And other improvements.

After these improvements and fixes no longer have more error 500

I use your component uniGUI for international companies..

More than 250 users are using.. and until now, i had only one problem about your component (radiogroup)

and you solved it, for me, your component is the best for delphi developer,

before,i checked many delphi component for web(Intra,Raidus etc), it was not useful according to me,

In my opinion, a very successful and stable components.

and i am planning to use your component for my other projects,

I use it only as standalone/service and I found it very, very stable and very easy to debug so thank you for this great job...

But the consumption of CPU is very high creating forms with a very large number components and/or with several grids, so a built-in load balancing mechanism could help to bypass this effect in some manner.

Unigui is the fastest and comfortable way for write Web application in Delphi. Yes, cpu consumption and a bit slower response on complex forms are the price to pay because there are no design-time flat hmtl files to display but all is  created and rendered at runtime.

 

I have tested a complex application with the stress tools, and after 1000 active sessions there is a bit slowness but all still works.... :-) (good result)

 

It lack on some business data management in components, fundamental and basic for porting all kind of desktop applications to the web,  but now Farshad give us new more powerful components and general optimizations.... :-)

Very Stable, I love it. The learning Curve having delphi basics, is almost null. The developing of Web Apps is to fast.

For Delphi programmers is a Must Have product.

For people who doesn't use Delphi I and want to make Web Apps, I really recomend to try Unigui+Delphi.

Is the first product where I really didn't hesitate to buy.
I have projects running without any problem.

We've been using UniGUI in a live environment since April 2014 and have never had a single issue with its stability (runs under IIS on Windows Server 2008 R2). The few issues we have had were all due to our coding.

 

We have a test environment (1Gb RAM on a VPS) and a live environment (16Gb RAM on a dedicated server). The test server works fine and runs at an acceptable speed. The live server runs like a train!

I have been using it since 2011 in several web apps without problems.

Of course, the latest versions are much more stable from earlier ones.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity yet to test the uniGUI mobile .

 

The feedback from my customers is positive, except some sporadic errors under unstable or heavy load networks.

RealThinClient was open source until 2009 I think. Now it costs money.

 

I used it back in the Delphi 7 days....think I can find an old OS copy if you need it.

RTC is better replacement for indy, it's faster and more stable.

 

also it's can handle much more than what indy server can handle:

What about ip*works from /n Software? PeopleSoft use it for their products.

ip*works is good components, but I don't think they offer HTTP server component, just HTTP client, which will not be useful to build HTTP server.

 

also I'm not sure if they provide full Delphi source code or not.

 

I may be wrong on both points, because I don't use them.
