Administrators Farshad Mohajeri Posted October 23, 2015 Author Administrators Posted October 23, 2015 You think it's good news? I have no idea. Let's hope they will adopt a better business model than Embarcadero. Quote
rencarnacion Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 We use Idera here to check the MS SQL Status is good tool Quote
zilav Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Since I use UniGUI exclusively with MSSQL, I guess this is a good news for me kind of, though never tried any of their products Quote
Abaksoft Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Many developers disagreed with embarcadero's political marketing. No free service pack for correcting bugs was offert. I signaled this last year on Quality central with others peaple and no thing ... It's a logical equation. Quote
adragan Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 In this context isn't Lazarus a more "stable" platform ? Quote

mika Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 In what regards? There is probablity that development of RAD Studio will be ceased in not too distant future. Idera is specialiced in database solutions and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they decide to discontinue developing RAD Studio. Quote

With a new pricing policy and subscription model it can survive another decade. Quote
rencarnacion Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I'm agree with Farshad, as far as I know Delphi is the competition of Visual Studio. I'd like that Google or other big company Buy Delphi and convert to Open Source 1 Quote

I'd like that Google or other big company Buy Delphi and convert to Open Source Delphi to open source? Neat idea but it's not going to happen; ever. Also, I did not mean that delphi should be abandoned. However, it would be beneficial not to be entirely dependant on Delphi. 1 Quote
