apology message but I could not get any support for this requirement:

I want to create two new components derived from TUNIEDIT and TUNIDBEdit , with the additional functionality of calling a form and thus manage to capture the contents of a variable, which allows me to create a generic way to refer to any table ,

If you develop UniGui apps, then you can use only UniGUI Components, that means TUniEdit or TUniDBEdit.

 

TDbEdit is Delphi component and is connected to Dataset and display field value, I don't know how you will pass another value from other form ... only if you change Tdataset/datasource.
