Many images : the best way ?

Hi,

I have many heavy images in the mainForm.

1. What is the best choice :

insert them at DedignTime and having a heavy dll or

Load them at RunTime (storing pictures on the "files" folder) ?

 

2. What optimal format are you using (png, jpg, gif, ...) ?

 

I know the new stress tool could be helpful here, but i want your expertise.

In Files folder, png format. Browser will cache them after the initial load.

The second options is the preferred,  and between Png or JPG both can be cached, but PNG has transparent feature, while Jpeg may have better compression ratio.
