Fred Montier Posted April 29 Posted April 29 uniGUI Advanced Topics II - Available May 4, 2026 (English - PDF). The books "uniGUI: Delphi Web Apps in the Blink of an Eye" and "uniGUI Advanced Topics I" were written between 2019 and 2021. Over the past few years, I have delved into the source code of uniGUI itself, Ext.JS, JavaScript, and all the trends and options using Pascal (Delphi) to validate the direction of new projects. Basically, I work in consulting for third parties and development. It is mandatory to always be ahead of my work niche, in my case, uniGUI. Many questions have always been present when using the uniGUI framework, which is based on another framework, Sencha Ext.JS. This last one requires a basic knowledge of JavaScript and the Ext.JS "dialect," and like every JavaScript framework, it always creates new concepts, semantics, objects, and function vocabularies for its restricted use, which don't exist in JS. It's well known that mastering Ext.JS and its code model is much more complex than just learning JavaScript or integrating it with Pascal code. This book was born from a huge collection of code that I accumulated in our WhatsApp groups, Telegram groups, and uniGUI forums, which sometimes, due to its format, makes it impractical to find solutions to some problems, as well as satisfactory documentation of the use of Ajax (the famous ajaxRequest(...)) with all the possibilities of use and how it works under the hood. It benefited from the help of dozens of friends with tips and examples that we added to the content over 5 years. Here, I have outlined a plan to save you from spending hours trying to find the correct syntax to trigger an event in a Frame or to join, manipulate, and obtain function information from Delphi to Javascript and vice versa. Therefore, I present the content of our book "uniGUI Advanced Topics II" where the following is addressed: 1- The CURRENT options in 2026 for web solutions using Delphi with uniGUI, TMS WebCore, Intraweb, and D2Bridge. Those not mentioned here are intentionally irrelevant. 2- JavaScript for Delphi programmers: an approach for you to master the basic use of JS in uniGUI in a few hours and combine it with your Delphi/Pascal code. 3- JSON, JavaScript and Delphi: We discuss the use of in-memory tables in FireDAC and how the use and serialization of JSON for tables greatly improves your productivity with Delphi and JS. 4- In the field of integrating Ext.js, uniGUI and JavaScript code, we cover in detail and with examples: All uses of ajaxRequest, the difference between JSInterface.JSCode(), JSCall and UniSession.AddJS(), the use of the Script property in uniForm and the integration of external JS libraries. 5- Database components: a complete guide to integrating all component packages with uniGUI: uniDac, Firedac, Zeos, IBObjects, DBISAM, etc. 6- Advanced session management with our new SessionManager Project for you. 7- uniGUI Websocket: discover this feature that makes uniGUI a platform well ahead of the others. 8- Media management on desktop and mobile: image and audio. Also includes QR Code and Barcode reading. 2 complete examples. 9- Final catalog with more than 350 tips collected over the years, classified by topics and keywords for quick cross-referencing of solutions. 10- More than 20 examples of complete projects with commented code in English. "uniGUI Advanced Topics II" - English - PDF format - distributed via download. Approx. 350 pages Official Release: May 4rd. Is way better than any of my books and material i've done in the last 10 years. And also, it obviously will not cover the NEW uniGUI version to be released. Thanks... Quote
AlexM123 Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I am sorry for musunderstanding. I purchased your 2 books and hope to expand my experience in addition to the original manual. Quote
Fred Montier Posted Wednesday at 04:57 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 04:57 PM Don't worry. But I mean it. Only if you planning to really go deep in JS + uniGUI and Ex.t JS. But now we have a better solution to that coming soon. What I'm said is that you should not buy it expecting the new unigui version improvement or some recent features topics like: It wont have Hypergrid, Hyperserver etc. This "Adv II" is focused in what were left behind like all about AjaxRequest, integration to Javascript and Ext.JS. Is more like a side step than a step forward. I'm probably this is the last book since it takes a lot of work, time, pay revision, errorr checking, code verification... ! And few people purchase it. I, myself use all this material as search repository I created in my consulting jobs. An no ChatGPT can help you with cross referency between uniGUI and Ex.JS. Since the primary source is the manual. And in creates a lot of trash, inexistent functions etc. Claude, is the same. But for UI, very good. uniGUI Community is very small, indead. 1 Quote
