fjtrooper Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Good afternoon, I compile the same project for 32bits and 64bits with Delphi XE2 Update3 and the last unigui version and MyDac MYSQL. In 32Bits float fields are shown with 2 decimals (it's correct), but when I execute the 64bits in the same computer and database, decimals change from 2 to many decimals. Do you know which could be the reason? Thanks
Administrators Farshad Mohajeri Posted February 23, 2012 Administrators Posted February 23, 2012 Do you format your fields? Is it a currency field?
fjtrooper Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 In Mysql it's defined as Float (10,2), and I simply show the field value with Tunidbedit. It's very curious, for example: In database the field value is: 94,98 In 32Bits shows: 94,98 In 64Bits shows: 94,9799978770316
Administrators Farshad Mohajeri Posted February 24, 2012 Administrators Posted February 24, 2012 Is it same in a vcl app?
Administrators Farshad Mohajeri Posted February 24, 2012 Administrators Posted February 24, 2012 Extended type has less precision in 64-bit mode. http://blog.synopse....lphi-XE2-64-bit
fjtrooper Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 I tried with VCL and also happends.
