I have a series of controls on a webform written in unigui that allow user input. I would like to allow say: 1.1.2012 or 1-1-2012 or 1/1/2012 for the date control Is it best to check this on the control change value ? The ClientDataSet BeforePost ? The ClientDataSet BeforeApplyUpdates ? Similarly.. If I have max length, date ranges, numeric only checks.. Any info/examples on the preferred way with the web to do this appreciated. (ie.. Async/Less post backs/Javascript???) Regards Andrew

If you use various DBControls then best place to validate is before you post to the Dataset. Otherwise you can use normal non-DB controls and post the values after you manually validate them.
