SergioFeitoza Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 I was using for a long time Unigui version “FMSoft_uniGUI_Complete_Professional_1.70.0.1487” Two days ago, I downloaded the recent version ” FMSoft_uniGUI_Complete_Professional_1.90.0.1531 ” . I followed line to line the instructions and installed well without any error or warning. I did not install the files: *** FMSoft_uniGUI_HyperServer_Config_1.90.0.1531 *** FMSoft_uniGUI_Theme_Pack_1.90.0.1531 and *** FMSoft_uniGUI_Complete_runtime_1.90.0.1531 Maybe it is only a coincidence but I am now having frequent “Connection error” as explained in my post of yesterday. So, to be sure that I did the complete installation properly please answer me the following: ( a ) Should I install also install the files “Hyperserver_Config”, “Theme_Pack” and “Complete_Runtime” ? If affirmative, can I do this after the installation of the “Complete_Professional” ? ( b ) In the second line of the “installation instructions” (http://unigui.com/doc/online_help/delphi-only.htm ) is written : ” After re-compiling an application with this new version, you should install the related uniGUI Runtime Package which can be downloaded from the customer portal.””. Is this “second line” to be done in addition to what is written in items 8 to 10 of the installation instruction ? .If not, I suggest to remove that sentence of the instructions. Quote
Wilton Ergon Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 FMSoft_uniGUI_Complete_runtime, must be installed only on the production server Quote
SergioFeitoza Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 Thank you Wilton. As Unigui is working without it, do you what is the purpose of it? and for the HyperServer ? Quote
Wilton Ergon Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 when you install FMSoft uniGUI Complete Professional V1.90.0.xxxx it already installs the runtime. on the production server, just install the runtime. the hyperserver installer, is used only to make some settings on the server's windows. these are the runtime folders ext-6.x uni-1.90.0.xxxx unim-1.90.0.xxxx you can also just copy and paste into the production server these folders that will also work.
