wmatte Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I have been following this project/product development. What is the release timeline, licensing(source/no source), costs? Walter Quote
wmatte Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 This must be a hard question to answer. Silence is a form of answer. Walter Quote
Administrators Farshad Mohajeri Posted July 11, 2011 Administrators Posted July 11, 2011 Hi, Actually it is a difficult question to answer I agree. The release timeline has shifted for a few months. Our initial aim was to have a non-beta build in June 2011. While many of the promised features in our roadmap are already implemented, we a need a few more month to finalize the product. The commercial plan for uniGUI will be announced with version 0.90. Until then we work through product quality and stability. Pricing: Ext JS license should be purchased separately which currently costs 329 USD per developer. So even if we release a free version the total cost for a single developer starts from 329 USD. We may have 3 different versions: Basic, Standard and Professional. Basic can be free or very low cost (Ext JS still costs 329 USD). Price for Standard and Pro will be determined, but even for the Pro the total cost of ownership (Including Ext JS) per developer will not exceed 900-1000 USD. If we succeed to make a deal with Sencha for an OEM license this will reduce Ext JS license price, but there is nothing on the table yet. Quote
