Is A High Ping Latency A Concern When Hosting UniGUI Apps?

Recommended Posts

I am in contact with Contabo's customer support to determine if I can use their VPS services.

One of my concerns is the speed in which the interface of my UniGUI applications are shown to users. It has to be as fast as possible. Contabo has provided two IP addresses for me to check the latency.

Using Ping Plotter, the round trip times to access Contabo's IP addresses are about 25 times slower than my current VPS.

Should I be concerned about this as far as hosting UniGUI apps are concerned?

Can you tell us, wich VPS are you using ?

Home solution ?    Company ?

1. Where are you using your Unigui Application in America,  Europe ?

2. Where is located your  VPS  in America,  Europe ?

Thx

The application is meant for a company and expected to be used simultaneously by about 300 users.

I am using the UniGUI application in a VPS hosted by Shinjiru in Malaysia. I have also subscribed to a Contabo VPS as well. So far, the load times for Contabo are about comparable to my local VPS. It is the ping times that reflect the slowness but real time application load tests indicate a small difference.

contabo.com is an excellent VPS hosting server

Check it out

I am already using Contabo's VPS and so far, it is working out nicely in terms of usability, features and pricing. I haven't installed a feature-heavy application and perform serious load tests yet though.
