d.bernaert
Hello, I have a large Unigui application that contains a number of Fastreport reports. Everything works fine, but today I needed to add rtf printing, so I added an frxRichView component to one of the reports. When testing on my machine, everything works fine, but when deployed to the server as Hyperserver executable on a Windows 2012 R2 installation, the application hangs when launching the report. Does anybody have an idea what could be wrong? Thx, Dominique
Jean-Marc Kiener
Maybe frRichView use some OLE libraries who must be present on the server?
d.bernaert
Not really. I created a small standard delphi application that generates a simple report containing frRichView and this previews fine on the server. I think it has something to do with treading.. Administrators Farshad Mohajeri Posted April 4, 2019 Administrators Share Posted April 4, 2019 Hi, Which uniGUI version are you using? We have addressed some VCL incompatibility issues in build 1493. RichView uses VCL controls directly and uniGUI tries to deal with them with some workarounds. Please try with 1493 or 1494 which will be published today. d.bernaert
Thx Farshad, I've contacted FastReport and got the suggestion not to use frxrich in reports, it is not thread safe. I've asked if there was another way to print rich text in fastreports and they said there is no solution that is thread safe for the moment. I will try the latest version when available. adragan
frRichView is not threadsafe. I got it. Tested ! I used TFrxMemoView with AllowHTNLTags:=True and inserted tags in text. Not the same thing but close .
