A little about myself... in daily life I work for the local government in Eindhoven (Netherlands) as an IT Solutions Architect.
In doing so, we set standards and look for solutions (software/hardware) in areas such as:

• server, storage, network infrastructure (internal);
• security solutions;
• server virtualization (VMware);
• cloud solutions (Azure, Saas, IAAS, PAAS);
• fiber optic infrastructure for the municipality of Eindhoven;
• IOT / Smart Cities / Sensor / Cameras;
• Low-code / No-code development platforms;
• Public security cameras and walkie-talkie network for law enforcement officers;
• Talking Traffic (this is communication between smart cars (5G), smart phone apps, navigation systems and traffic regulation / traffic light installation (local/national)

I also have my own company EVENTSOFT where we offer software solutions for the events / festival industry. These include:

• iVENTDESK : crew, guests, artists and press registration (full uniGui in 2022)
• iTRANSPORT: vehicle registration (scanning in/out) during set-up and breakdown of events (Win32 and full uniGui in 2022)
• iPORTOFOON: radio registration, issue and return including accessories  (Win32 and full uniGui in 2022)
• iWRISTBAND: software to design and print wristbands yourself (only Win32)

Couple of facts:

• The iVENTDESK, iTRANSPORT and iPORTOFOON applications all have SMS integration with an online SMS provider.
• Barcode scanners and NFC tags are also used. A local USB NFC reader is now used for reading NFC tags. In 2022 we will
  experiment with a UHF reader linked to the network for scanning NFC Windshield stickers at a distance of 10-15 meters.
• In 2022 there will be a stand-alone nfc reader based on a raspberry pi + ncf shield and software for reading nfc tags/wristbands
